- Local chapter of national movement, working to empower the homeless, to share food and build community, and to educate the public on the relationship between militarism and poverty.

- Free vegetarian meals:
• Mon-Fri at People's Park (Haste above Telegraph) around 3pm.
• Sunday at 14th and Jefferson Street, downtown Oakland at 3:30pm.
Will pick up food donations.
Volunteers to help with cooking welcome. Cookhouses: Monday: Show up anytime between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm. Newman Hall, 2700 Dwight Way, Berkeley The door to get into the kitchen is at the corner of Dwight and Etna streets. Tuesday: Cooking starts at 10:30 am First Presbyterian church 27th and Broadway, Oakland (enter from 27th Street) Wednesday: Show up at 11:30 am St. John’s Presbyterian Church 2727 College Ave Thursday: Berkeley Serving Show up at 11:30 am St. John’s Presbyterian Church 2727 College Ave Oakland Serving Cooking starts at 10:30 am. Call Joe for more info: (510)542-3112 First Presbyterian Church 27th and Broadway, Oakland Friday: Due to Covid-19, we are not currently accepting any more volunteers to help cook on Fridays. If you’d like to help serve, show up at People’s Park at 3pm. Monday through Friday, if you’d just like to help serve and not cook, show up at People’s Park at 3pm. - Cost
